How do I open my Dell Dimension 2400 computer so that I can install ram?
also crucial.com says that the dimension 2400 supports 2 gb ram but yet bestbuy.com and walmart.com say it only supports 1 gb ram which is it
As per the Owner’s Manual: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim2400/en/sm_en/specs.htm the system supports 1 GB (2 x 512 MB). Operating the system with more memory than 1 GB might be possible but this is not something that is recommended.

When cleaning out the case the use of a vacuum is not recommended. A vacuum can do potential harm to system components by creating static electricity, or even possibly loosening/removing key components. If you want to clean out the dust from inside the case it is recommended to use a can of compressed air.
