Why can’t Final Cut Pro install in my mac Tower?

I have a mac tower, final cut pro should be able to install in any mac, but when I put the disc in, it says that my computer can’t support this file
I need a mac OS x 10.3.2 or higher and i dont know what that means, how do I get it to install?

It means your version of OS X is too old. You need Panther (10.3), Tiger (10.4), or Leopard (10.5). There’s also Snow Leopard (10.6), but that requires an Intel processor and you have a PowerPC. You have either Cheetah (10.0), Puma (10.1), or Jaguar (10.2), which don’t have the pieces Final Cut needs even though your computer has the specs to run it. Go out and buy a copy of Leopard- it will run just fine on your machine.
