Emachines Etower
eMachines Power Supply?
I have a eTower 733i (lucky me – it’s old). I am looking for a new power supply because it literally blew on me tonight. I was in the middle of watching a video and my computer completely shuts down.
I know I need a power supply. (I had an old one and hooked it up and now it works.) Thing is I just got a NEW one in June.
I am set to buy one this weekend or next. Trouble with it is, is that the power supply I need is a bit smaller than a standard one. (Or they all come in different sizes?)
What’s a brand name that I should look for, or a particular model I could get so that it’s guaranteed to fit in my computer?
Suggestions and answers would be great. Thanks!
This should do it. I had a HP computer that also took this smaller-sized power supply. They’re not that easy to come by or manufactured by the popular brands. Just find the best price you can and hope for the best.

I’ve seen them sold elsewhere too. Just Google for “eMachines power supply”. You will probably have to buy online though. Finding one in a store would probably be next to impossible.
The mainboards tend to fry on the eMachines also. Fixed a couple “dead” ones for friends that had good power supplies and bad mainboards.
