What is the fastest CPU upgrade I can get for my Inspiron 9300 Intel(R) Pentium M 1.60GHz notebook computer?
I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 notebook computer with Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.60GHz 533Mhz FSB CPU and I want to replace the CPU with the fastest one available that is compatible with the system. Can some one let me know what model CPU that would be and perhaps a link to an online site that sells them (refurbished is OK).
The Pentium M760, 2.0 gHz should be an easy replacement since it was offered as the top variant for the 9300.

The faster Pentium M780, 2.26 gHz may or may not need a BIOS update. Forget dual cores. The Intel 915PM chipset on that laptop does NOT support dual cores.
