Coa Sticker

Is the licence sticker worth didely squat?!?
Few years ago I purchased a Tiny pc…but now they are out of business!
XP came preloaded, with a COA sticker on the side. However the computer did not come with any XP CD.
I have managed to borrow an XP retail CD (genuine) off a mate. However when I try and install XP using the code on the side of the computer it doesnt work, but my maste is positive it should.
I’m a bit confused about the codes you need. Are there two different codes that I need – one for the CD to work and another to validate WIndows?
Any help much appriciated!
The one for your Tiny PC was probably an OEM copy which is valid for that PC only. You should have received a recovery disk with that PC, this is what you would use to re-load windows. It contains XP as well as all of the programs that came with your computer when you first got it.
OEM Keys will not work with any other XP Disk. So most likey the CD your friend has is the retail version of XP. If he does have an OEM disk it could be a different version. If you have Windows XP home you could not use the code for XP Pro. Also, if you had a Key for XP Service Pack 2 you could not use the CD with Service Pack 1a.
